Home shopping company CJ OnStyle announced on the 12th that it will increase its mobile and TV video content intellectual property (IP) from 40 to 50 this year. It also plans to actively develop large-scale IP that can expand to external video platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
This is aimed at expanding intellectual property. It means laying the groundwork for the company's flagship TV programs to be utilized as spin-off programs on mobile apps or external channels, or for popular mobile programs to enter TV.
The first step in expanding IP will begin with the beauty program "Get It Beauty." This program gained popularity on mobile last August, and starting next month, it will be adapted for the TV program "Get It Beauty Friends." The hosts will also be composed differently to align with the channel's characteristics.
A CJ OnStyle official noted, "Our production competitiveness supports this IP expansion," adding, "We will accelerate the development of K-live broadcasting that resonates overseas, based on the video content production competitiveness we have built over 30 years." CJ OnStyle has 130 content planning producers, and including technical staff, its content production workforce totals 300.
