Cosmax Group carried out its regular executive appointments for 2025 on the 26th. This appointment includes a transfer of the representatives of major affiliates, totaling 30 people, covering research and development, production, marketing, and support.

In a major transfer, Lee Sang-in, managing director of Cosmax Guangzhou (president), will move to managing director of Cosmax China (Shanghai Corporation). He joined Cosmax in 1996, worked through the marketing division, and has served as the managing director of Cosmax Guangzhou since 2017. He is particularly noted for successfully facilitating transactions with large brands in China, such as 'Perfect Diary,' contributing to the stabilization of the corporation.

Yang Chi-yeon, head of the marketing institutional sector at Cosmax China (vice president), will move to managing director of Cosmax Guangzhou. He joined Cosmax in 1995 and has been in charge of the marketing sector since 2006 after working in the production division. He contributed to achieving the highest sales in the history of Cosmax China in 2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company expects that both the president and the vice president will utilize their successful experiences in Guangzhou and Shanghai to discover new opportunities for a leap forward in the Chinese cosmetics market.

Cosmax Group unveiled a list of 28 executive promotions focused on enhancing future competitiveness and expanding diversity and dynamism, along with representative-level transfers. Through this, the strategy is to solidify its advantage in the global cosmetics Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) industry and to strengthen organizational capabilities in innovation regarding research technology and business models, thereby increasing the pace of change.

Kim Nam-jung, head of the marketing institutional sector at Cosmax (executive director), and Kim Seung-min, head of the management institutional sector at Cosmax China (executive director), have been promoted to vice president. Vice President Kim joined Cosmax and has worked through the production and sales sectors. He has particularly contributed to enhancing the sales and marketing capabilities of client companies and to the continuous record sales updates of the Korean corporation.

With this promotion, Vice President Kim Nam-jung has been nominated as the representative of Cosmax NB, an affiliate specializing in health functional foods. Vice President Kim Seung-min is a management expert who worked at Samsung Electronics for over 30 years. He contributed to improving the investment and risk management systems for the Chinese business after joining in 2022.

In the research and innovation institutional sector, there were 10 promotions. Notably, Ji Jin-goo, head of the Cosmax CL Lab, and Kang Byeong-ha, head of the formulation research institute at Cosmax China, were promoted to Fellow 1 (executive level).

Along with this appointment, the core research organization, the Cosmax Research & Innovation Center, has undergone major restructuring. The previous 18 labs have been expanded to 23 by segmenting the formerly combined organizations. New labs, including PM Lab for enhancing mask sheets and packs, and PS Lab for strengthening expertise in eco-friendly packaging materials, have been established. The SC (Sun Care) Lab for sunscreen innovation has been made independent and expanded. This aims to quickly respond to changing customer demands with world-class technological capabilities.

Lee Jin-il, head of the Division of West Planning at Cosmax BTI, and Park Jin-ho, head of the procurement division at Cosmax SCM, have both been promoted to executive director. In overseas affiliates, Kang Min-gu, head of Cosmax Thailand, was promoted to executive director.

There are seven new female executives. Among them, three born in the 1980s were appointed as associate executive directors. This is expected to enhance professionalism and diversity through quick decision-making and smooth communication within the organization.

In the health functional food institutional sector, there were also seven promotions. Park Jong-cheol, head of the production division at Cosmax NB, was promoted to executive director, while Kim Jae-hwan, head of planning team at Cosmax Bio, and Park Il-seo, head of the marketing team, were appointed as new executives. They plan to strengthen sustainable business models aimed at developing various materials and targeting global health functional food consumers.

A Cosmax Group official noted, 'Through this appointment, we will accelerate technological innovation in response to changing global market conditions and secure future growth drivers.' He added, 'This will serve as a turning point to solidify our position as the world's No. 1 in the global cosmetics ODM market and to develop innovative business models.'
