On the 26th, CJ Onstyle announced that it would resume broadcasting from noon that day for cable TV paid broadcasters D'Live, CCS Chungbuk Broadcasting, and Arum Broadcasting, which had ended their broadcast due to the failure to renew contracts this year.

CJ Onstyle explained, “This decision was made to respect the opinion of the Ministry of Science and ICT to resume broadcasting during the period of the fee verification council and to maintain the continuity of the paid broadcasting ecosystem through the prompt normalization of each business.”

CJ Onstyle stated, “CJ Onstyle will diligently participate in the ongoing fee verification council organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and will make every effort to find an amicable agreement with D'Live, CCS Chungbuk Broadcasting, and Arum Broadcasting.”

CJ Onstyle suspended broadcasting for the three cable TV operators on the 5th due to a conflict over channel transmission fees. CJ Onstyle asserted that a fee reduction was necessary due to a sharp decline in TV ratings and worsening performance. In contrast, the cable TV industry countered that the rate of reduction demanded by CJ Onstyle was excessive.

According to the paid broadcasting industry, the Ministry of Science and ICT recently warned the three cable TV operators and CJ Onstyle of a 'corrective order for violating the Broadcasting Act' and received opinions on the matter.

The Broadcasting Act mentioned by the Ministry includes compliance with the 'guidelines for the use of home shopping broadcast channel contracts.' Both sides are accused of violating the re-licensing conditions imposed during the channel re-approval process. Based on this, the Ministry was planning to finalize and notify the corrective order as early as this week.
