E-land World announced on the 24th that New Balance, a global sports brand it operates in South Korea, has surpassed 1 trillion won in domestic sales this year.

E-land began operating New Balance domestically in 2008. That year, New Balance's sales were 25 billion won, but they have grown 40 times in scale over the past 16 years.

New Balance has joined the list of brands that have surpassed 1 trillion won in sales as a single brand in South Korea. Previously, only Nike, The North Face, and Uniqlo had achieved annual sales of 1 trillion won as single brands.

E-land noted, "The growth has continued due to the combination of New Balance's sports heritage and clothing planning that reflects the preferences of domestic customers."

After selecting Kim Yuna as an ambassador in 2016, New Balance launched the "New Balance Women's" line, with its signature product, the "Yuna Down," selling over 100,000 units. Additionally, it has increased touchpoints with consumers through sports campaigns. New Balance operates a running crew, NBRC, open to anyone who enjoys running, and holds marathon events.
