GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 24th the '2025 Mutual Growth Support System,' focused on increasing franchise owners' revenue and expanding welfare.

According to GS25, this mutual growth support plan was formalized the day before. After introducing the industry's first mutual growth support plan in 2017, GS25 has provided innovative support measures each year and aims for co-growth with franchise owners amid rising prices and a competitive retail environment this year.

The key keywords of this support plan are ▲ revenue enhancement ▲ operational environment improvement ▲ welfare expansion, among three. To this end, GS25 has expanded the criteria for additional incentive support. The funding for incentives paid according to key specialized products like Fresh Food has increased by more than 20% compared to last year, and the amount of additional incentives that can be received based on store effort has been raised by more than 10% from last year.

Additionally, for outstanding incentive stores, a two-day, one-night healing program including domestic tourism and experiential activities will be offered. Stores that received the 'very excellent' grade in the National Hygiene Grade System will have 100% of the water filter expenses covered. This is to build trust in hygiene. The hygiene grade system is a national certification system run by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

GS25 plans to increase the utilization of digital platforms. It will strengthen the worker recruitment channel in partnership with the hiring platform 'Gugbu.' The store management app 'Bossmon' will support work efficiency through attendance management, salary calculation, employment contract writing, and automated issuance of payslips.

Through collaboration with the foreign student recruitment platform 'BJob,' it will also expand the infrastructure for hiring foreign workers. Support measures have also been established for store facilities, including the installation of eco covers and support for cleaning refrigeration equipment.

A discount system for franchise fees for multi-child families is also planned to be established. For franchise owners with two or more children under 18, a discount of 2 million won will be offered on the franchise fee. Additionally, the GS Hero award system will expand its targets from owners and workers to include family members of owners, providing rewards worth up to 1 million won for those who practice exemplary social activities.

In partnership with the comprehensive medical affiliate 'SafeDoc,' the company will support the lowest prices and reservation conveniences for 15 non-covered medical items. Considering the increased cost of goods due to price hikes, the maximum compensation limit for comprehensive property insurance has been raised from 30 million won to 40 million won.

GS25 will maintain existing welfare systems such as the use of recreational facilities, overseas training opportunities, legal consultation services, support for social events, and mutual loans while adding mutual support measures appropriate for the current time. Shin Dong-hoon, head of the mutual cooperation team at GS Retail, noted, 'We have aimed for sustainable growth not only by increasing store revenue but also by improving the operational environment and expanding welfare,' and 'We will do our best to secure mutual growth support plans and differentiated competitiveness with franchise owners.'
