CU announced on the 23rd that it will offer over 700 types of gift sets across 40 categories for the 2025 Lunar New Year.
This year, CU's sales of Lunar New Year gift sets increased by 11.8% compared to last year. The major categories included 47.2% regional specialties, 42.6% digital/electronics, 32.3% seasonings/canned goods, 30.9% meat/handmade ham, and 15.2% tea/drinks/snacks.
CU will significantly extend the pre-discount period for this year's Lunar New Year, providing discounts until the 22nd of next month.
First, CU will introduce a taste poly gift set that includes chestnut and strawberry tiramisu cups, Yonsei chestnut tiramisu, and strawberry pistachio cream bread, along with a value meat processing set featuring sweet potato jerky and a health nut brand Get Natural gift set.
CU has exclusively prepared famous food items, including four types of the Mongtan set known for its premium short ribs, for consumers prioritizing cost-effectiveness, known as YONO (You Only Need One).
In addition, CU has prepared over 30 types of regional specialties representing a total of seven places, including Yeonggwang's dried yellow corvina, and eight types of makgeolli representing each region, including Haechang (Haenam).
Furthermore, it has prepared eight types of kids' products featuring characters like Jjanggu and TiniPing, over 50 types of home appliances and portable devices, 12 types of camping gear, and eight types of golf products.
