E-Mart recently announced on the 18th that it has planned Lunar New Year gift sets reflecting the so-called "value consumption" and "healthy pleasure" trends as the number of consumers prioritizing the environment and health has been continuously increasing.
First, it has expanded the quantity of its "naturism" gift sets, a representative brand of value consumption, by about 20%. Naturism primarily operates eco-friendly agricultural products and processed foods using low-carbon, pesticide-free, organic, and antibiotic-free methods. According to E-Mart, sales of naturism's Lunar New Year gift sets over the past three years, from 2022 to the present, have exceeded an average annual growth of 20%, and sales for this year's Chuseok increased by 11% compared to last year's Chuseok. This suggests that the trend of value consumption continues.
Representative sets include the "naturism low-carbon certified apple and pear mixed set", "naturism low-carbon certified Hallabong set (8-9 pieces)", and "naturism low-carbon certified triple apple set". These sets provide discounts when purchased with affiliated promotional cards.
Additionally, E-Mart has prepared the "Min-Sok-Chin Hanwoo antibiotic-free Hanwoo set," which is raised without the use of antibiotics or antimicrobial agents and growth promoters. This set consists of 1.6 kg of Hanwoo grade 1+ (400g each of sirloin, tenderloin, beef round, and shabu-shabu).
E-Mart has also strengthened gift sets targeting healthy pleasure, which is emerging as a new consumer trend. With recent attention on blood sugar and weight management products, sales of the "apple cider vinegar" product, Denigris apple vinegar, increased by 402% year-on-year from January to November this year. E-Mart is offering discounts on set number 2 composed of this product if purchased with affiliated promotional cards.
In addition to this, it will showcase the "Eurofood organic lemon juice 4-piece gift set", made with 100% organic lemons, and the "Helios jam 4-flavor set (strawberry, fig, peach, blueberry)" made with unrefined cane sugar. Notably, the organic lemon juice gift set will be sold for the first time at E-Mart Traders this Lunar New Year.
