Homeplus announced on the 17th that it will introduce the 1,000 won dark beer 'Titan Black' on the 19th and begin full-scale sales.
Homeplus has aggressively launched unique products only available at Homeplus by developing items with high satisfaction relative to their prices this year.
A representative product is the ultra-low-priced lager beer 'Titan,' which launched in early August. Titan gained popularity based on its price competitiveness of 1,000 won per can. The initial stock sold out in three days, and throughout August, coinciding with the summer vacation season, it sold at a rate of 1 can every 9 seconds. As of early December, total cumulative sales reached about 350,000 cans.
The premium makgeolli 'Haechang 10 Degree Plus (900ml),' launched exclusively through a collaboration between Homeplus and Haechang Brewery on September 6, has reportedly achieved the highest sales in the Homeplus makgeolli category since its release.
On the 19th of this month, Homeplus will introduce a new cost-effective black lager, 'Titan Black.' Titan Black is a dark beer of lager type, incorporating 'Black' into the existing product name that signifies uncompromising 2.8 vol carbonation. The price is the same as Titan, at 1,000 won per can (500ml).
Homeplus added that it maximized the unique nutty aroma and the savory taste reminiscent of drinking coffee by using German roasted malts for the dark beer. It also mentioned that after a fermentation and aging process of 35 days, a strong carbonation (2.8 vol) was implemented, resulting in a clean finish and easy drinking experience.
