Musinsa announced on the 16th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ZOZOTOWN, an online fashion platform in Japan, to accelerate the entry of Korean fashion designer brands into Japan.
According to the MOU, ZOZOTOWN will provide various support related to local distribution and marketing for K-fashion brands wishing to enter Japan. Musinsa will serve as a domestic partner for K-fashion brands that lack the personnel and resources necessary for entering the Japanese market, acting as a bridge connecting Korea and Japan.
Previously, Musinsa opened an online pop-up store at ZOZOTOWN in the first half of this year to introduce K-fashion brands to Japanese customers and confirmed the synergy effect by collaborating with Japanese influencers.
Jo Man-ho, CEO of Musinsa, noted, "Over the past 2 to 3 years, Musinsa has established a stable business environment through various experiments and challenges to target the Japanese fashion market. With this MOU, we will continue to collaborate with ZOZOTOWN, the largest fashion e-commerce corporation in Japan, to help domestic fashion brands significantly increase their sales there."
