GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 13th that it has launched 'IGIN Apple Tonic,' made from fermented liquid based on rice from Yesan, Chungnam, and high-sugar apples.

IGIN Apple Tonic is a product designed to promote coexistence with local farmers and reflect the trends of the MZ generation (born from the early 1990s to the late 2000s) who seek low-alcohol beverages and mixology. It is available in two flavors: sour tonic (apple & plum) with an alcohol content of 4% added with plum concentrate, and sweet tonic (apple & watermelon) with watermelon concentrate.

GS25 plans to hold a pre-order event for IGIN Apple Tonic from the 16th to the 18th. Customers can purchase bundles (6 cans) through the mobile app Our Neighborhood GS under Wine 25 Plus.

From the 20th to the 24th, a pop-up store will also be operated at 'Bacon't' on Yeonmujang-gil in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The pop-up will offer tasting and purchasing, as well as limited merchandise sales and a photo zone certification event among the experience programs. Distilled spirits sold at the Yesan brewery will also be available.

After the conclusion of this pre-order and pop-up event, GS25 plans to officially sell IGIN Apple Tonic at offline stores nationwide starting January 1, 2025. Hah Lim, the merchandise planner for the liquor team at GS Retail, said, “We will continue to present unique products that provide new experiences to customers” and added, “We will strive to ensure GS25 establishes itself as a leader in the alcoholic beverage market.”
