JNP International Trading announced on the 12th that it signed an exclusive sales contract with Chinese manufacturer Guizhou Liangzhu Distillery Co., Ltd. on the 6th and held a domestic tasting event.
Guizhou Liangzhu Distillery Co., Ltd. is a liquor manufacturer located in Maotai Town, Guizhou Province.
Ambassador Zhao Daiming, recognized as a key figure in producing high-quality Chinese liquor, operates the distillery with his son Zhao Guangliang, the chairman. Ambassador Zhao is a veteran in the Chinese liquor industry who received the title of Master of the First Liangzhu Distillery from the Chinese government. After retiring from the renowned liquor manufacturer Moutai Group, he established a brewing college in the region to nurture future talent.
At the same time, they are developing and producing four types of 53-degree Liangzhu liquor that showcase the brewing techniques he mastered. The manufacturer noted that the representative liquor, Liangzhu Distillery, is a profound drink matured in jars that encompasses the aromas of local fruits and vegetables.
JNP International Trading introduced three types of premium products, including Liangzhu Distillery's highest grade 'Lalamanga,' to the domestic market. Lalamanga means 'the whole family smiles brightly.' This product will be available for sale at Korean Air duty-free shops starting early next year. The domestic selling price is yet to be determined.
Choi Chang-hwan, representative of JNP International Trading, said, 'While frequently visiting the Maotai region, I became deeply interested after hearing Ambassador Zhao Daiming's words that 'the history of liquor is the history of human communication and reconciliation.' He added, 'Liangzhu Distillery liquor is made based on Ambassador Zhao's philosophy of unity between nature and humanity.'
Zhao Guangliang, who attended the event, emphasized, 'My father, Ambassador Zhao Daiming, has dedicated over 50 years of his life to producing high-quality Laojiao liquor,' and added, 'We are producing Laojiao liquor using a special manufacturing method that ages and stores brewing techniques inherited from our ancestors.'
During his visit to South Korea, Zhao Guangliang's party also signed an agreement related to tourism development themed around the Chinese tourist destination Maotai Town with domestic companies.
