Lightroom, London's famous immersive exhibition space, is being introduced to a prime office in Seoul's central business district (CBD).
Real estate integrated operations company Ido Estate said on the 14th that it held a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with the Lightroom operator in London on the 12th and agreed to cooperate to create immersive exhibition and cultural spaces.
Ido Estate is pushing to introduce Lightroom for the first time in Korea to office assets it operates, including ONEX. Located in London's King's Cross, Lightroom is an exhibition space that combines large LED screens with cutting-edge sound and spatial production to deliver an immersive feeling as if the audience has entered the work.
ONEX, where Lightroom is set to be introduced, is an extra-large prime office development spanning seven floors underground and 33 floors above ground with a total floor area of about 172,100 square meters in Ipjeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. It will connect directly to Euljiro 3-ga Station, and it recently completed project financing (PF) for 1.64 trillion won for the main project, aiming for completion in Apr. 2029.
Kim Ji-young, an executive director at Ido Estate, said, "This collaboration with Lightroom shows the direction of new downtown office spaces," adding, "We will create a place people visit not only for work but also for culture and experience." Richard Slaney, chief executive officer (CEO) of Lightroom, said, "Seoul is one of the world's centers of creativity," adding, "We are very pleased to work with Ido Estate on this project to create a new Lightroom space in Seoul."
