Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) said on the 11th that it held the "2026 K-City Network Global Smart City Partnership Forum" at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO) on the 10th.
Under the theme "K-City, meeting global business opportunities," government and city officials from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Poland met with Korea's corporations to discuss investment and cooperation plans.
The forum presented interim results and future plans for three K-City Network projects underway this year: ▲ Kazakhstan Alatau Smart Town ▲ Uzbekistan Tashkent new airport hinterland city (Aero-City) ▲ Poland Lublin Smart City master plan establishment and integrated control center construction.
A KIND official said, "This forum is meaningful in that partner countries directly presented their vision and willingness to pursue the projects, and Korea's corporations discussed the feasibility of participation in concrete terms," adding, "We will continue follow-up cooperation so that the planning achievements of the K-City Network can lead to overseas expansion by Korea's corporations and to practical development, demonstration and investment projects."
