HS Hwasung secured the construction contract for the Biji Town street housing redevelopment project in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
HS Hwasung said on the 1st that it was selected as the builder for the Daechi-dong Biji Town street housing redevelopment project at a general meeting to choose the builder held on the 29th.
The project will build 95 apartment homes in two buildings, from seven floors underground to 18 floors above ground, on a 4,497.9 square-meter site at 951-1 Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The construction cost is about 129.6 billion won.
Residents will have access to Samseong Station and Seolleung Station on Line 2 and Hanti Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. Nearby are the Daechi-dong private academy district, Hwi Moon High School, Dankook University-affiliated High School, Sookmyeong Girls' High School, and living infrastructure such as COEX and the Hyundai Department Store Trade Center branch.
HS Hwasung plans to apply its high-end residential brand "EHCRA" to this project and present it as "Samseong Station EHCRA." EHCRA is being applied for the third time, following the Jamswon Hanshin Town project in Seocho-gu and the Shinseong Villa redevelopment in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, both won last year.
HS Hwasung has recently been expanding orders in major redevelopment sites across Seoul. With this Gangnam-gu Daechi-dong project secured after Seocho-gu Jamswon-dong and Seongdong-gu Seongsu-dong, the company is broadening its business scope in Gangnam and other prime residential areas of Seoul.
Lee Eun-chung, head of HS Hwasung's urban redevelopment team, said, "Because the Daechi-dong Biji Town project is being pursued in a core location of Gangnam, we plan to create a complex with quality and marketability that can meet the expectations of union members," adding, "We will continue to expand our business scope in major redevelopment sites in Seoul and the greater metropolitan area."
