Hyundai Engineering & Construction will launch open recruitment for new employees in the second half of 2026 to strengthen competitiveness in future growth businesses such as new energy, data centers, and offshore wind power. A separate hiring track targeting international students will also run in parallel.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction said on the 1st it will recruit entry-level employees in six areas: civil engineering; building and housing; plant; NewEnergy; support; and safety and quality.
Detailed positions are design, civil, and electrical in the civil engineering field; architecture, mechanical, electrical, and civil in the building and housing field; and mechanical, chemical engineering, and electrical in the plant field. In the new energy field, the company will hire for nuclear, mechanical, chemical engineering, electrical, civil, and architecture roles. In the support field, it will hire for general management, and in the safety and quality field, it will hire safety personnel.
In particular, in line with the expansion of key growth businesses such as large nuclear power plants, Small Modular Reactor (SMR), data centers, and offshore wind power, the company plans to secure talent in the MEP field that covers mechanical, electrical, and piping.
Hiring for international students will proceed simultaneously. Recruitment areas include civil engineering, building and housing, plant, new energy, support, and safety and quality, and in the support field the company will select for ESG, finance, procurement, global, HR, IT, PR, and strategy and planning roles. Applicants with strong Korean-language skills will be given preference.
Eligibility is limited to graduates of accredited four-year universities or higher and those expected to graduate in Feb. 2027. Applications will be accepted through the 29th. This will be followed by an aptitude test in Oct., first-round interviews in Nov., and second-round interviews in Dec., with final successful candidates to be announced in Jan. next year.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction will also hold a pop-up recruiting event from the 14th to the 18th at THE H Gallery in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, to coincide with the hiring period. Programs will include a recruitment briefing session, introductions to headquarters and businesses, job descriptions, sharing of successful application stories by new hires, and hiring consultations.
Current practitioners will participate to introduce career development paths by job category and on-site work experiences, and special lectures on resume writing and interviews will also be offered. Applications to participate are open through the 10th.
