About 22,700 households are expected to go on sale nationwide next month.
According to ZIGBANG CO. on the 31st, the number of apartments expected to go on sale nationwide in September 2026 is 22,704 households across 26 complexes. That is an increase of 3,045 households (15%) from the same month a year earlier (27 complexes, 19,659 households), and general sales are projected at 18,643 households, up 43% from a year earlier (13,049 households).
Meanwhile, in August's presales market, 19,140 households (68%) of the planned 28,015 households actually went to market. Of the planned 18,861 general-sale households, 14,571 households (77%) were supplied, and by complex, 26 of the planned 33 complexes (79%) proceeded with sales. It appears the gap between planned volumes and actual supply emerged as some complexes adjusted their sales schedules due to market conditions and business circumstances.
The September presale volume is concentrated in the greater Seoul area. Of the 22,704 households nationwide, 13,537 will be supplied in the greater Seoul area, accounting for about 60% of the total. By region, Gyeonggi-do had the most with 12 complexes and 9,544 households (8,449 general sale), followed by Incheon with 3 complexes and 3,908 households (2,202 general sale), and Seoul with 1 complex and 85 households (29 general sale). Outside the capital region, 9,167 households will be supplied across six areas including Gwangju in South Jeolla and South Chungcheong.
However, some complexes' sales schedules may be adjusted in September due to the Chuseok holiday, among other factors. ZIGBANG CO. said, "With funding burdens rising due to interest rates and lending regulations, attention is on how differentiation in subscription demand by presale price competitiveness and location will play out along with the actual scale of supply."
