Samsung C&T's construction division was selected as the contractor for the remodeling of the Hangang Samsung Apartment complex in Mapo District, Seoul.
On the 30th, Samsung C&T said the Mapo Hangang Samsung Apartment Remodeling Housing Association held a general meeting on the 29th and passed an agenda item selecting Samsung C&T as the contractor.
Mapo Hangang Samsung Apartment is a complex located around 11 Tojeong-ro 32-gil in Mapo District and was completed in 1997. It currently consists of three buildings with 456 households, from two basement levels to 28 above-ground floors. Through remodeling, it will be transformed into a complex with six basement levels and 29 above-ground floors, three buildings (including a newly built separate building), 482 households, and auxiliary welfare facilities. The construction cost is about 281 billion won.
This project is the first case of remodeling a Samsung Apartment, which Samsung C&T directly completed in 1997, into "Raemian."
Samsung C&T proposed "Raemian Lasier Hangang (RAEMIAN LASIER HANGANG)" as the new complex name.
Samsung C&T will also apply specialized designs that leverage the location with a permanent view of the Han River. It plans to place a sky lounge on two floors of the new building and create a rooftop landscape garden to maximize river views. It will also introduce floor plans such as extra-wide living rooms that provide expansive views of the river.
Community facilities will total 1,762 pyeong. That is about 3.7 pyeong per household. A fitness center, golf lounge, healing community, and welcome lounge are scheduled to be included.
Kim Myeong-seok, head of housing product marketing at Samsung C&T (executive vice president), said, "We will maximize the excellent locational advantage of an unobstructed view of the Han River to complete the best residential space," and added, "We will successfully carry out the Mapo Hangang Samsung Apartment remodeling project to offer members the utmost pride."
