The Seoul city government said on the 26th that it held the "2nd special schedule acceleration meeting" at the Hannam 3 district site in Yongsan-gu on the 25th, presided over by Vice Mayor for Administrative Affairs 2 Kim Seong-bo.
The meeting aimed to meet this year's goal of starting construction on 30,000 dwellings, and Vice Mayor Kim checked demolition and groundbreaking preparations at the Hannam 3 district. He also reviewed project-by-project timelines and causes of delay with schedule acceleration officers from eight district offices that include 11 redevelopment business sites in Seoul slated to break ground in the second half.
At the first special schedule acceleration meeting held in May, schedule acceleration officers from all 25 district offices took part and reviewed progress for 85 key supply strategy projects totaling 85,000 units.
Vice Mayor Kim Seong-bo said, "Supplying dwellings should not end with announcing plans but must lead to actual groundbreakings that residents can feel," adding, "The Seoul city government, district offices, and associations will move as one team to swiftly resolve bottlenecks on the ground."
He also said, "We will flawlessly achieve this year's goal of breaking ground on 30,000 units, the first step toward 310,000 by 2031, and we will manage each business site to the end to speed up Seoul's supply of dwellings."
