New Daewoo Engineering & Construction CEO Lee Gang-seok visited an apartment construction site on his first official schedule to inspect safety management conditions.
Daewoo Engineering & Construction said on the 24th that Lee visited the "Yangju Station Prugio Center Park" construction site in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, on the 19th.
Lee received briefings on safety management activities and key pending issues, and conducted focused inspections to see whether work environments and worker protection measures to prevent heat-related illness were being properly implemented amid continued summer heat waves.
Lee said, "There is no such thing as 'too much' when it comes to safety," adding, "We must strengthen tailored safety management by closely examining changing site conditions and worker characteristics."
