The city of Seoul said on the 13th it will recruit tenants for 128 units in the first round of 2026 general dwelling-type Mirinaejip.
Mirinaejip is a purchase-rental housing program in which the Seoul Housing and Urban Development Corporation (SH) buys dwellings and supplies them to newlyweds and others at below-market prices to stabilize housing for newlyweds and ease childcare burdens. If a resident gives birth while living there, the resident is granted the right to apply to move to a long-term jeonse dwelling after 10 years of residence.
The first-round supply includes 53 new units and 75 remaining vacancies, consisting of officetels, urban lifestyle dwellings, and multi-family dwellings. Eligible applicants are newlywed households without a home, prospective newlyweds, married households, newborn households, and single-parent families; the monthly average income must be 130% or less of the urban worker household average by household size (200% or less for dual-income households), and total assets must be 362 million won or less.
Online applications will be accepted via SH from the 31st of this month to the 2nd of next month. After document screening and the announcement of successful applicants, move-ins will begin sequentially starting in Feb. 2027.
To allow applicants to view the inside of Mirinaejip before applying, the city will run the "house to look around" at the Build Arte Apartment in Dobong District on the 28th–29th of this month.
Myeong No-joon, head of the Seoul City Housing Bureau, said, "We will expand the supply of the general dwelling-type Mirinaejip so newlyweds can live without housing worries while continuing childbirth and childrearing," and added, "We will supply a variety of quality public rental dwellings to strengthen housing support centered on end users."
