Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) said on the 11th it will run a "reward plan for reporters to eradicate irregularities" to spread an anti-corruption and integrity culture.
Those eligible for rewards are people who anonymously report irregularities by HUG executives and employees that result in disciplinary action following an audit.
Cash rewards will be paid through the anonymous reporting center "K-Whistle." HUG said it will keep the reporter's anonymity confidential to protect the person's identity.
The reward amount will be determined by considering audit contribution, audit outcomes, and the level of disposition, with a maximum payout of 1 billion won.
Lee Myeong-won, HUG's standing audit committee member, said, "We will encourage reports of irregularities and strengthen internal controls to establish a culture of integrity."
