Iambox, a corporations specializing in urban self-storage (shared warehouses), said on the 11th that it surpassed its 280th location.
The company said it analyzed that reaching the 280th location was the result of providing customized storage solutions to modern people facing space shortages amid the trend of more one- to two-person households and smaller living spaces.
An Iambox official said, "Thanks to customers' continued interest and trust, we were able to achieve the meaningful milestone of 280 locations nationwide," and added, "We will continue to establish ourselves as an essential everyday residential infrastructure that anyone can use easily and conveniently near home through Internet of Things (IoT) technology innovation, AI development, and service upgrades."
Meanwhile, Iambox plans to use the opening of its 280th location as a starting point to accelerate expansion into major urban centers nationwide beyond the Seoul metropolitan area. It aims to expand to 400 locations by the second half of this year and plans to further upgrade unmanned operation technology to improve both branch operational efficiency and customer convenience.
