Daewoo Engineering & Construction said on the 30th it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation on research and development and safety education in construction and disaster safety with the Korea Disaster Safety Institute at Daewoo Engineering & Construction headquarters in Euljiro, Seoul, on the 29th.
Attendees at the signing ceremony included Shin Dong-hyeok, Daewoo Engineering & Construction CSO, Song Chang-yeong, chair of the Korea Disaster Safety Institute, and Jeong Sang-man, president, among others.
Through this agreement, the two institutions agreed to promote research and development, safety education, and technical cooperation to prevent safety accidents at construction sites. They also plan to jointly develop education and training programs to cultivate construction safety professionals and to expand the exchange of technology and knowledge in disaster safety.
