Hanwha Co., Ltd.'s construction division said on the 30th that it conducted specialized training on the 29th for on-site equipment managers at the Eumseong Culture and Arts Center and at Donggun T&L Co., Ltd.'s second plant in Eumseong, North Chungcheong.
As awareness of safety accidents involving heavy equipment at construction sites grows, the expertise and role of on-site equipment managers are becoming even more important. In response, Hanwha Co., Ltd.'s construction division has operated specialized training since 2024 to strengthen capabilities in on-site equipment safety management.
Kim Yun-hae, Deputy Minister and chief safety officer (CSO), attended the training. Deputy Minister Kim encouraged the roughly 30 participants, including on-site equipment managers from the Building and Infrastructure Business Division, and emphasized the importance of on-site safety management capabilities and compliance with safety rules. The training was carried out with support from Donggun T&L Co., Ltd., a specialized partner in construction lifts, which provided the venue, professional instructors, and practice equipment.
Deputy Minister Kim said, "Because accidents involving construction heavy equipment account for more than 30% of serious on-site disasters, safety management of construction heavy equipment is a critical task directly tied to accident prevention," and added, "We will continue site-centered safety training in coordination with specialized partners to enhance equipment safety management capabilities."
