Hanil Cement said on the 29th that it obtained a patent for technology that applies artificial intelligence (AI) to a mobile silo used for apartment floor work.
The patent is titled "AI-based mobile silo device." A mobile silo is floor mortar placing equipment that mixes dry mortar with water and pumps it up to high floors.
With this technology, AI automatically controls the amount of water and the pumping pressure, which workers previously adjusted manually.
AI adjusts the water mix in real time according to environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity, and automatically calculates the pumping pressure to match the pour-floor height to support consistent-quality mortar work.
Hanil Cement plans to use this patent to push commercialization of the technology in the floor-use Remital (dry mortar) market.
Hanil Cement obtained a patent in 2022 for a mobile silo carbon dioxide (CO2) injection device and in 2024 for a mortar precision weighing device.
A Hanil Cement official said, "We will continue to develop high-quality products and construction solution technologies to improve construction efficiency at job sites."
