The Namkwang Engineering & Construction–Geukdong Construction consortium won the construction contract for the Incheon Donga Apartment LH-participation street housing maintenance project.
On the 21st, according to the Namkwang Engineering & Construction–Geukdong Construction consortium, the Donga Apartment LH-participation street housing maintenance project association approved the agenda to select the contractor at an extraordinary general meeting on the 17th. Of 520 association members, 360 voted, and the Namkwang Engineering & Construction–Geukdong Construction consortium secured the construction rights with 326 votes in favor. There were 11 votes against, and 23 abstentions or invalid votes.
The Namkwang Engineering & Construction–Geukdong Construction consortium will build a complex of six buildings with 994 households, five stories underground to 39 stories above ground, at 610-113, Yonghyeon-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon. It is a public support–type street housing maintenance project with participation from the Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH).
This order is the first maintenance project won since Namkwang Engineering & Construction and Geukdong Construction recently rebranded their housing brand as "HAUSTORY." The two companies plan to apply the residential platform "The K-House" to this project. The K-House combines a variable design that allows spaces to be flexibly changed according to family composition and lifestyle changes with living services that let residents use or replace appliances, furniture, and household goods as needed, creating a residence-centered living environment.
Namkwang Engineering & Construction and Geukdong Construction plan to use this order as a springboard to expand their push into the Seoul metropolitan area's public support–type maintenance project market.
