Daewoo Engineering & Construction was selected as the Sigongsa at the general meeting of the "Sangdo 15 District housing maintenance-type redevelopment project" held on the 16th, and said so on the 20th. This project will build 30 buildings of communal dwellings with 3,207 households from eight basement levels to 35 above-ground floors, along with ancillary welfare facilities and neighborhood living facilities, at 279 Sangdo-dong, Dongjak District, Seoul. The construction cost is 1.4367 trillion won.
Daewoo Engineering & Construction joined hands with global design firm SMDP for Sangdo 15 District, the largest integrated redevelopment complex in Dongjak, and proposed the complex name "Sangdo Summit." It plans to implement a landmark complex representing the area by applying an exterior design inspired by the great nature of Guksabong, a local symbol.
Daewoo Engineering & Construction will provide a guaranteed completion commitment for swift project execution and will be responsible for raising the project financing. For smooth relocation, it proposed 100% LTV, 100% payment of the contribution at move-in, and strategies such as maximizing general sales revenue through Summit premiums.
A Daewoo Engineering & Construction official said, "Daewoo Engineering & Construction, as a leading builder that has supplied the most dwellings in Korea, will push the project forward swiftly and stably based on the accumulated know-how in maintenance projects to repay the support of union members," and added, "We will focus our companywide capabilities so that Sangdo 15 District, which will become the first Summit complex in Sangdo, can be a landmark representing the area and a source of pride for union members."
