The residents' delegation for the integrated reconstruction of Boksagol Village in Jung-dong, Bucheon, said on the 20th it submitted an application to Bucheon City to designate Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co. (KOREIT) as the preliminary project implementer.
Boksagol Village is a complex consisting of Gunyung 1st and 2nd Apartments and commercial facilities located around 1186 Jung-dong, Wonmi District, Bucheon. The project area is 36,736.5 square meters, with 1,030 households. Once reconstruction is completed, it is expected to be developed into a new apartment complex of about 1,400 households.
The residents' delegation has been pushing the reconstruction project since signing a business agreement with Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co. (KOREIT) on June 30.
If Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co. (KOREIT) is designated as the preliminary project implementer, it will support permitting tasks such as designating a special maintenance zone under the Special Act on Maintenance of Aging Planned Cities. To designate the project implementer, it plans to gather the opinions of land and other owners through residents' briefings.
In Jung-dong New Town, Bandal Village A and Eunha Village were selected as leading districts for the maintenance of aging planned cities, and Eunha Village, for which Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co. (KOREIT) serves as the preliminary project implementer, was designated as a special maintenance zone in June, the first in Jung-dong.
Bucheon City recently announced the "Jung-dong first-phase new town redevelopment master plan" and is supporting maintenance projects by preparing guidelines for establishing special maintenance plans proposed by residents.
The Boksagol Village residents' delegation said, "If Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co. (KOREIT) is designated as the preliminary project implementer, we plan to pursue the designation of a special maintenance zone and the designation of the project implementer together in 2027."
