LX Hausys said on the 15th that it released the wall finishing material with fire safety, "LX Z:IN flame-retardant board."
The LX Z:IN flame-retardant board is a product that attaches a flame-retardant interior film to medium-density fiberboard (MDF). It applies a flame-retardant technology that mixes a flame retardant at the materials and supplies compounding stage to give the film flame resistance.
According to the company, the product passed the flame-retardant performance test by the Korea Fire Institute (KFI). The interior film made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) applied to the board also obtained CE certification from the European Union (EU).
Flame retardancy is the performance of slowing the spread of flames in the event of a fire. The use of materials with flame-retardant performance is mandatory at multiuse facilities such as movie theaters, restaurants, and private academies.
The installation process was shortened as well. Previously, cement, gypsum board, MDF, and interior film were installed in sequence, but this product is supplied in a form that combines MDF and interior film, allowing it to be installed directly on walls.
The product uses E0-grade MDF for formaldehyde emissions and a flame-retardant interior film that received an environmental label certification. The colors consist of 30 options, including wood, stone, and solid. It can be applied to schools, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, and other commercial and public facilities.
The product was released in two types: polyvinyl chloride material and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) material. The PET material product can be applied not only to walls but also to kitchen furniture and storage cabinets.
