Seoul city will subsidize part of the expense of holding electronic voting and online general meetings if introduced by cooperatives for small-scale maintenance projects such as Moa Housing. The policy expands digital meeting support, which had centered on large-scale maintenance projects, to small-scale ones to speed up cooperative decision-making.
Seoul city said on the 13th that it will push the "support project to promote electronic voting and online general meetings" for cooperatives in small-scale dwellings maintenance projects, including Moa Housing, autonomous housing, small-scale reconstruction, and small-scale redevelopment.
Eligible cooperatives will receive support for up to 50% of the expense of holding electronic voting and online general meetings. The support limit per cooperative is up to 3 million won. Seoul city plans to select about 20 cooperatives this year and fund the budget.
Applicants are cooperatives among small-scale dwellings maintenance projects in Seoul that are about to hold a general meeting. In addition to cooperatives holding general meetings this year, cooperatives with plans to hold a general meeting through the first quarter of 2027 can also apply.
Cooperatives wishing to participate should obtain a resolution from the board of delegates or a general meeting and then submit the application form and required documents to the maintenance project department of the relevant district office from the 15th to Nov. 30.
The support amount will be finalized after the subsidies review committee. Seoul city plans to determine the recipients and amounts by comprehensively considering the size of the cooperative, the general meeting operation plan, and past cooperative performance.
Cooperatives that pass the review can receive subsidies by applying for the expense to the district office after completing electronic voting and online general meetings. Details can be found in the announcement posted on Seoul city's Maintenance Project Information Mongttang and the Seoul city website.
