Kumho E&C said on the 10th it was selected as the preferred negotiating partner for the "Pyeongtaek Godeok A-72·A-73 block private-participation public housing construction project." The project will be pursued based on the locational advantage adjacent to the Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek campus and a differentiated, specialized design.
The project will build a residential complex of 17 buildings with 1 basement level to 20 above-ground floors, exclusive areas of 74–84㎡, and a total of 1,295 households on A-72 and A-73 blocks in Godeok International New City, Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. A-72 block will comprise 11 buildings with 773 households, and A-73 block will comprise 6 buildings with 522 households. Both complexes are scheduled to break ground in Dec. and be completed in July 2029.
The total project cost is 438.2 billion won. Kumho E&C will lead the project with 51% equity, with Isu Construction, Ssangyong E&C, and Umi Development participating jointly. The complex will adopt "ARTERA," the residential brand of Kumho E&C.
A Kumho E&C official said, "We proposed a complex life-platform community where education, culture, and health coexist, embodying ARTERA's unique brand philosophy," and added, "Based on the construction capabilities and know-how we have accumulated in the private-participation public housing sector, we will create a landmark complex representing the region."
