Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) said on the 8th that President Lee Seong-hun visited the Seoripul district in Seocho-gu, Seoul, as his first move after taking office to inspect the status of the project's progress.
That day, Lee visited Seoripul District 1 and District 2 in turn to inspect the sites. There, Lee was briefed on the progress by district and pending issues in the project schedule, and directed that the start of construction on dwellings be moved up by more than a year from the announced plan.
The Seoripul district is slated to supply up to 20,000 dwellings by combining District 1 (18,000 units, designated in Feb.) and District 2 (2,000 units, designated in Jun.).
LH will apply for a district plan for District 1 this month and, with a goal of starting construction on dwellings in 2028, will swiftly pursue approval in the first half of next year and compensation in the second half. In addition, as opposition and preservation petitions from Seoripul district residents continue, it plans to operate a consultative body for communication with residents and to continue consultations on pending issues such as compensation and relocation.
