Daewoo Engineering & Construction said on the 7th that it implemented a "partner safety rating system" to strengthen partner companies' safety management capabilities.
The partner safety rating system provides bidding incentives to top-performing partners and gradually restricts bidding for those with insufficient safety management. The evaluation is based on on-site safety assessments and headquarters safety assessments, and comprehensively reflects credit rating agencies' safety ratings (SH/SA ratings) to assess the safety level of partner companies.
When selecting a preferred negotiation partner, the evaluation amount is calculated by deducting the incentive amount by safety grade from the bid price, allowing partners with excellent safety management to receive a more favorable evaluation.
A Daewoo Engineering & Construction official said, "This system is significant in that it moves away from a price-centered method of selecting partner companies and reflects safety management capabilities in evaluations," adding, "We will continue to promote various support measures and system improvements that can enhance partners' safety capabilities, and expand practical win-win programs in finance, welfare, and education to build a construction ecosystem that grows together."
