Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) said on the 3rd that it selected Jung District in Incheon, Icheon in Gyeonggi Province, Yangju in Gyeonggi Province, and Sasang District in Busan as unsold dwellings management areas for July.
An unsold dwellings management area is selected if it falls under one of the following among cities, counties, or districts with 1,000 or more unsold units and where the number of unsold units is 2% or more of the stock of multifamily dwellings: ▲ increase in unsold units ▲ poor progress in clearing unsold units ▲ concern over unsold units.
To obtain a pre-sale guarantee in these areas, a preliminary screening process is required.
In the July management areas, Jung District in Daejeon was delisted and Yangju in Gyeonggi Province was reassignment.
Unsold dwellings in the management areas totaled 7,434 units (as of May), accounting for about 11.4% of the nationwide unsold dwellings.
