The All New Champions City (hereafter Champions City), a large-scale mixed-use development project in Jeonnam Gwangju Integrated Special City, will begin development by starting with the supply of a residential complex.
Champions City Complex Development PFV, whose shareholders include real estate developer and operator Shin Young Co., WOOMI Construction Co., and Humans Holdings Co., said on the 2nd that it plans to begin sales of Champions City Phase 1 in September.
Champions City is a project to develop about 298,000㎡ (about 90,000 pyeong) around 100-1, Im-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, the former Jeonbang and Ilshin Spinning sites. The Phase 1 now being offered will be built by WOOMI Construction Co., and will consist of 12 buildings from 3 basement levels to 49 aboveground floors, with exclusive areas of 84–214㎡, totaling 3,216 households. About 79% of the units, or 2,534 households, are designed with an 84㎡ exclusive area, which is highly preferred by end users.
The project site connects to Gwangju's major road network, including the Seogwangju IC and Mujin-daero, and is close to lifestyle and cultural infrastructure such as Gwangju Station, Gwangju-Kia Champions Field, and Shinsegae Department Store.
Champions City Phase 1 will be directly connected to a cultural park created by utilizing the industrial heritage of Jeonbang and Ilshin Spinning. It will also feature Gwangju's first indoor botanical garden, and The Hyundai Gwangju (targeting opening in the first half of 2029), which will be built at about 1.5 times the size of The Hyundai Seoul, will be within walking distance.
Key community amenities will include a golf practice range with screen golf and a 20-meter approach bay, as well as sports facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, GX room, and a multipurpose indoor gymnasium, and educational facilities such as a small library (book cafe) and study rooms (general and single-person). In addition, lifestyle support facilities such as a daycare center and a community care center, and specialized facilities such as dining, a tea house, a pet garden, and a sky lounge and guesthouse in the 44th-floor sky community will be built.
The model home will be set up within the Champions City site and is scheduled to open in September.
