The number of apartments scheduled for sale nationwide next month is nearing 30,000 units. That is about a 30% increase from the same period last year.
According to ZIGBANG CO., a real estate platform, on the 29th, the number of apartments scheduled for sale nationwide in July totals 29,671 units. That is about a 30% increase from the same month a year earlier (22,793 units). General sales are also expected to increase by about 17%, from 18,554 units to 21,679 units, it was found.
Earlier, in June, the presale market showed a relatively solid pace in actual supply compared with scheduled volumes. The scheduled volume for June was 30,126 units, and the actual presale performance tallied so far is 24,914 units, about 83% of the scheduled volume. General sales also reached about 89%, with 22,434 units supplied out of the scheduled 25,097 units. Some business sites with recruitment notices scheduled for late June are included in this performance, so volumes may be adjusted somewhat in the final tally. Although presale timelines are fluid depending on permits for each project and the timing of recruitment notices, the ratio of actual supply to scheduled volumes remained relatively solid.
In July, 29,671 units are set to be supplied nationwide. By region, the greater Seoul area accounts for 20,252 units, or about 68% of the total. Non-capital regions are slated to receive 9,419 units. By locality, supply is expected to be concentrated in Gyeonggi and Incheon.
