The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on the 28th that it will start recruiting for the "2026 second-half youth internship" on the 29th of this month.
For the second-half youth internship, a total of 130 people will be selected in 10 fields, including administration, public relations, foreign languages, and facilities. Any young person (ages 19–34) interested in land and transport work can apply.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) will select interns by excluding quantitative preferential requirements ("specs") such as major, certifications, and language scores, and instead evaluating a "policy proposal" in which applicants describe their interest in policy and willingness to participate. This follows the aim of open recruitment.
Applications will be accepted until the 9th of next month. After a document screening and interviews, the final successful candidates will be announced on Aug. 3. The second-half internship will run from Aug. 10 to Dec. 11.
Selected youth interns will be assigned to support policy development in land, dwellings, construction, and transport by placing them in departments that reflect their interests and majors. They may also participate in policy implementation, including construction site inspections and support for air traffic control administration and training. Outstanding interns may receive the Minister's Award.
Kim Heon-jeong, Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), said, "In the second half as well, we will actively support the operation of a substantive program so that more young people can gain meaningful experience across land and transport sites."
