HS Hwasung said on the 24th it won contracts for the construction of the "securities museum transfer and new construction project" in Eunpyeong District, Seoul, and the "Complex Science Experience Land" within the National Science Museum in Yuseong District, Daejeon.
The securities museum transfer and new construction project was ordered by the Korea Securities Depository (KSD) Nanum Foundation and is a project to build a securities museum with a total floor area of 6,501.31 square meters, spanning two basement levels to four above-ground floors, in Jingwan-dong, Eunpyeong District, Seoul. The total contract amount is 21.351 billion won, and HS Hwasung will carry out the project with 100% equity. Construction will begin in Jul. 2026, with completion targeted for Apr. 2028.
The securities museum is Korea's first museum dedicated to securities, systematically preserving and exhibiting 400 years of securities history from around the world and providing practical financial education to the public.
The Complex Science Experience Land construction project was ordered by the Public Procurement Service and is a project to create a complex science and culture facility on the grounds of the National Science Museum in Yuseong District, Daejeon. Along with building construction, civil engineering, mechanical, and landscaping work will be carried out. This project will create a cultural and assembly facility (exhibition facility) with a total floor area of 10,002 square meters, consisting of one basement level and two above-ground floors. The construction period is about 27 months from the start date. The total winning bid amount is about 20.7 billion won, and HS Hwasung will participate with 70% equity to perform a contract worth about 14.5 billion won. The joint contract also includes Yunwon Construction Co., Ltd. and Taesan Construction Co., Ltd.
