HanmiGlobal, a domestic PM (project management) specialist, said on the 22nd that it held the "Global PM Summit 2026" on the 19th to mark its 30th anniversary.
At the summit, held under the theme "Rewriting the future of global PM in the age of artificial intelligence (AI)," David Wisol, chief operating officer (COO) of Turner & Townsend, delivered a keynote address. He said, "The core value of AI is not to replace personnel but to strengthen the capabilities of skilled professionals and advance data-driven decision-making."
Next, Andre Borrmann, a professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany, gave a special lecture on "AI in the construction environment." He explained that the convergence of robotics is transforming the entire life cycle of construction projects. Rafael Sacks, head of the National Building Research Institute at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, gave a lecture on "How will AI change construction project management?"
HanmiGlobal signed separate memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the Construction AI Center at the Technical University of Munich in Germany and the National Building Research Institute at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. A HanmiGlobal official said, "We will jointly pursue the discovery of research projects for AI-based innovation in project management, surveys of domestic and overseas technology trends, and the establishment of response strategies to changes in the global PM market, while expanding a research network of global caliber."
