The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on the 18th it will hold the "Korea Architectural Culture Awards" student design competition.
The Korea Architectural Culture Awards is the nation's top government-run architecture awards to drive the advancement of architectural culture.
Marking its 35th year, the theme of the Korea Architectural Culture Awards student design competition is "layering of time and space" for the general category. The hanok category theme is "again, a public hanok," with no site restrictions.
Applications can be submitted on the Korea Architectural Culture Awards website from the 27th to the 31st of next month. Entries will be accepted from Aug. 26 to 5 p.m. on the 28th.
The competition offers 26 awards, including the grand prize, with a total of 28 million won in prize money. The awards ceremony will be held at the "2026 Korea Architectural Culture Awards" event hosted and organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) in Nov.
