Public sales held in Dongtan District, Hwaseong, where home prices are climbing steeply on the back of a "semiconductor effect," also proved a hit. The subscription competition rate for Hwaseong Dongtan 2 C-27 by Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) reached 100 to 1.

As home prices in the Dongtan area have been rising sharply recently, helped by bonuses at semiconductor companies, end users have turned to public sales, which are relatively reasonably priced, leading to strong subscription demand. The sales price for the 84㎡ exclusive units in the Hwaseong Dongtan 2 C-27 block is around 600 million won.
LH plans to release the list of successful applicants on the 25th of this month, followed by document submissions for winners (and alternates) from July 3–7. The contract period runs from Sept. 1–4.
