DL E&C won a sole contract to build a gas combined-cycle power plant in Jeju worth 550 billion won.
DL E&C said on the 15th that it signed a contract for the "East Jeju combined-cycle power plant construction." At the signing ceremony held at Korea East-West Power Co. (EWP)'s headquarters in Ulsan last week, attendees included DL E&C CEO Park Sang-shin and Korea East-West Power Co. (EWP) President Kwon Myung-ho, among officials from both companies.
The project is to build a gas combined-cycle power plant with a total capacity of 150 MW (megawatts) in Dongbok-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju. Ordered by Korea East-West Power Co. (EWP), DL E&C will carry out all phases, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and commissioning. When completed in 2030, it is expected to help stabilize power supply in the Jeju region.
