Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) said on the 10th that it will provide free consulting to local governments promoting the "regional vitality town" development project. The Seoul metropolitan area and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province are excluded.
The regional vitality town development project combines housing, living infrastructure, and living services to improve local settlement conditions, support resettlement, and boost regional vitality.
LH decided to offer this free consulting as the regional vitality town project shifted this year from a competitive call for proposals to a voluntary application system. Through a consulting team, it plans to provide timely support aligned with each local government's project preparation schedule.
The consulting will be conducted by analyzing goals, plans, feasibility, demand, viability, governance, and effectiveness at the stage of conceiving or planning the regional vitality town development project.
Local governments seeking consulting can complete an application and a project plan and submit them to the LH contact person. After a preliminary review of the project plan, LH will deliver the consulting results either in person or online.
Kang O-sun, head of LH's Regional Balance Division, said, "We plan to work closely with local governments so that regional vitality towns can take root as new growth hubs for the region."
