The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on the 3rd it will hold the "Seoul in 100 years: future space ideas contest" through August.
The theme of the contest is "A better future for Seoul, the look of our neighborhood that changes lives." Anyone may freely propose ideas to change Seoul's spaces and daily life, and submissions can be in any format, including drawings, card news, webtoons, modeling, or stories.
Anyone in Korea can take part in the contest. The categories are divided into elementary school, middle school, and general. Those wishing to participate should fill out the application posted on the "Seoul in My Hands" contest website and submit it by email.
Results will be announced in September on the "Seoul in My Hands" contest website. A total of 20 people will be selected—eight in the elementary school category, six in the middle school category, and six in the general category—and will receive the mayor of Seoul's award certificate and prize money of up to 1 million won.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to refine and flesh out the ideas discovered through this contest and use them as basic data for establishing future space policies and implementation plans.
