Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) said on the 14th that it conducted a special inspection in the Incheon Gyeyang Techno Valley public housing district, where the first residents are scheduled to move in at the end of the year.
The inspection was arranged to prevent safety accidents and secure quality amid recent raw material price increases and supply instability caused by the Middle East crisis, while also reviewing construction progress at the Incheon Gyeyang A2 and A3 blocks, which are set to welcome the first residents among the third new towns at the end of the year. The Incheon Gyeyang district, centered on Bakchon-dong in Incheon, is a district of about 3.35 million square meters, where 18,000 dwellings are slated to be supplied, and work on infrastructure such as roads and water and sewage systems is underway. The Incheon Gyeyang A2 block (747 public-sale dwellings) and A3 block (538 Newlywed Hope Town dwellings) are the first among the third new towns to see move-ins in Dec., and finishing work on the dwellings is underway.
Acting President Jo Gyeong-suk of LH said, "The Incheon Gyeyang district is the starting point for resident move-ins to the third new towns, so everything from establishing living conditions such as schools and parks to building transportation infrastructure must be carried out in a timely manner," adding, "At the same time, make safety and quality at construction sites the top priorities and do your utmost."
