Chair Lee Seung-chan of the Gyeryong Scholarship Foundation (chair of Gyeryong Construction) said on the 10th that at the "2026 first-semester scholarship award ceremony" held at 4 p.m. on the 8th in the main auditorium at Gyeryong Construction's headquarters in Tanbang-dong, Seo District, Daejeon, a total of 71 million won in scholarships was awarded to 53 outstanding high school and university students.
The scholarships awarded this time are the first installment out of a total 1.42 billion won in general scholarships for 2026. Since the foundation's establishment in 1992, scholarships awarded through this round total 16,318 recipients and 7.34026 billion won.
In remarks, Chair Lee said, "I hope today's support will be a small stepping stone for your tomorrow," and "I ask that you continue to work diligently for your dreams."
One student who received a scholarship said, "Thank you to the Gyeryong Scholarship Foundation for providing this meaningful support and encouragement," adding, "I will do my best to achieve my dreams and grow into a person who contributes to society."
