The International Contractors Association of Korea said it appointed Kim Dae-sik as the new executive vice chairman and held an inauguration ceremony on the 6th.
Kim entered public service in 1983 by passing the 17th foreign service exam and is a former diplomat. Kim served as ambassador to Oman, ambassador to Kazakhstan, and head of the Jeonbuk International Development Cooperation Agency, building extensive experience in external cooperation and international relations. The term is three years, until Apr. 30, 2029.
In the inauguration address, Kim said, "I will become an 'on-site vice chairman' who actively leverages the experience and network built in the field of diplomacy to support expanding our corporations' overseas orders," and added, "I will focus all capabilities on expanding the territory of overseas orders for the construction industry."
