Hyundai Engineering & Construction said on the 30th that it proposed a theme-park-style community, "One Circle," for Apgujeong District 3 and unveiled a vision for a future residential community.
"One Circle" is a circular community that connects residents' lifestyles into a single flow, with the core idea of organizing the entire complex like a single city. It is designed so that residents can conveniently use a variety of community facilities within the complex 365 days a year regardless of the weather.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction views the community not as a simple ancillary facility but as a core element of housing, focusing on organically linking spaces, circulation, and service systems. Accordingly, it filed applications for related Korean and English trademarks for "The Circle," as well as patents on the operating structure, spatial organization, and circulation system.
The flagship community facility, "Club Apgujeong," will span about 45,000 pyeong. That is roughly 4.5 times the size of Gwanghwamun Square, applying a structure that converts the scale of the complex into everyday convenience. The space consists of three zones—private, daily, and signature—and is organically arranged along "The Circle One."
The private zone centers on personalized facilities. PT rooms, Pilates, yoga, and saunas are installed and directly connected to each building to improve accessibility. An app-based reservation system also enhances convenience.
The daily zone serves as everyday life infrastructure, with a welcome lounge, fitness center, golf studio, kids' facilities, and cinema rooms dispersed to improve ease of use.
The signature zone is a key facility placed at the heart of the complex and includes a large spa, a 25-meter eight-lane pool, an indoor golf range, and a large library.
"The Circle One," which serves as the community's central axis, will be built as a 1.2 km circular track. Indoor landscaping, community facilities, and an unmanned shuttle route are connected as one, and smart ventilation and heating/cooling systems provide a pleasant user environment.
Along with this, a 420-meter circular community, "The Circle 420," was also proposed for Apgujeong District 5. It links the fitness center, golf practice range, spa, and park into a single circulation.
A Hyundai Engineering & Construction official said, "One Circle is a community strategy to expand Apgujeong Hyundai into the concept of a single city," adding, "We will focus on realizing an advanced residential environment."
