Hyundai Engineering & Construction said on the 29th that it will strengthen win-win cooperation with partners and move to secure competitiveness in next-generation energy businesses.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction held the "2026 H-Leaders general meeting and management seminar" on the 28th at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with more than 300 people in attendance, including CEO Lee Han-woo, key executives, and heads of partner firms.
Marking its 15th year, the event is held annually to strengthen ties with outstanding partners and enhance partner companies' competitiveness.
This year, Hyundai Engineering & Construction evaluated 2,009 partners by institutional sector, including safety, quality, performance, and procurement, and selected 38 companies as "H-Prime Leaders" and 198 companies as "H-Leaders." Selected partners receive various incentives, including reduced contract performance guarantees and expanded bidding opportunities.
The event was organized as a venue to share future strategies and discuss response measures amid growing uncertainty due to recent Middle East tensions and regulatory changes.
To strengthen partner competitiveness, Hyundai Engineering & Construction has reorganized its purchasing division into the PI (Procurement Innovation) division and is advancing its partner management system. The company said it plans to build a structure for shared growth by improving field-centered evaluation systems, expanding tailored collaboration, strengthening safety and quality management systems linked to incentives, and enhancing communication with partners.
Lee Han-woo, CEO of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, said, "We will focus on technology-based businesses centered on energy infrastructure to build a foundation for growth with our partners," adding, "By expanding global sourcing, diversifying supply chains, and managing key items, we will reduce on-site uncertainty and establish a construction culture centered on safety and quality."
Under the theme "pleasant companionship with partners," the event centered on communication programs between partners and management. Alongside participatory programs such as on-site video sharing and balance games, awards were given to outstanding partners in areas including orders, safety, and quality.
This year as well, Hyundai Engineering & Construction plans to promote a range of win-win policies, including operating a 166 billion won shared growth fund, providing ESG (environmental, social, and governance) consulting support, and expanding partner training and awards.
