DL E&C proposed "ACRO Mokdong Regency (ACRO MOKDONG REGENCY)" for Mokdong New Town Complex 6, where a reconstruction is underway.
DL E&C said on the 28th that it submitted the bid proposal the previous day for a private contract for the "Mokdong Complex 6 reconstruction project" in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.
DL E&C previously participated alone in the bid to select a construction contractor for Mokdong Complex 6 and obtained preferred negotiator status. After reviewing DL E&C's proposal, the association plans to hold a general meeting to select the construction contractor on June 27.
Mokdong Complex 6 plans to transform through reconstruction into a large complex with 14 buildings ranging from two basement levels to as high as 49 stories, totaling 2,173 households (based on the association's original design). The project cost comes to 1.2129 trillion won.
The name DL E&C proposed for Mokdong Complex 6 is ACRO Mokdong Regency. It emphasizes the value of being a premier education special zone and prestigious residential area that has represented Korea for a long time, and carries the meaning of becoming the symbol and standard that opens a new era for Mokdong.
DL E&C proposed a specialized design for Mokdong Complex 6, jointly participated in by a global architecture firm, a high-end landscape design group, and a supertall structural design company.
Based on collaboration with "JERDE," a global architectural design leader that has shaped the sensibility of cities through landmarks worldwide, it completed a three-dimensional and differentiated exterior design. The plan allows every association member household to view either the Han River or Anyangcheon, and also proposes a sky lounge with a panoramic river view as a signature amenity.
In addition, DL E&C teamed up with the world-renowned landscape firm "MSP (Martha Schwartz Partners)" to significantly increase the landscape area compared with the original plan. Through this, it conceived specialized landscaping so residents can enjoy resort-level grounds within the complex.
Along with this, DL E&C included in the proposal unit layout improvements featuring penthouses and duplex houses (multi-story layouts with wide terraces), as well as private gardens and terraces available to first-floor units. It greatly expanded the scale of community facilities compared with the original plan, and, befitting a high-end residential complex, plans to introduce amenities that propose a private lifestyle for residents, such as an indoor pool, family spa, and dining room.
